Badminton Beginner's Guide - Club

戀球團緣起
Administrator Previously Managed a Professional Training Venue
The venue had almost no open play.
It was primarily a training ground designated
for students and coaches for intensive competition training.
Courses were specifically designed
for beginner and introductory levels.
With a strong passion for education,
the administrator gained a good reputation locally.
However, the land was repurposed for other uses.
Misunderstandings from former friends
In the sport, jealousy from peers led
to reports that forced the venue to close.
Having received guidance from dozens
of top-level players and coaches,
The administrator deeply understood
Various coaching methods, each offering valuable insights.
However, for adults with stiff bodies, slow reactions,
and poor flexibility, who seldom exercise and prefer to just play,
The common coaching methods were found unsuitable.
This realization sparked the idea
to continue managing the club, breaking it down into smaller, more manageable parts.
Why Choose Love Badminton Club?
Typically, one-on-one coaching sessions cost
between 800-1200 TWD per hour,
not including venue fees
that can exceed 500 TWD per hour.
This is not affordable for most people genuinely
interested in learning badminton.
Additionally,
The training methods that coaches learned as children
(often referred to as "childhood skills")They
are not suitable for adult learners.
As a result, many students pay a lot
in tuition but see little progress.
Coaches often teach basic footwork exercises,
picking up shuttlecocks, tossing,
skipping rope, and jumping jacks.
While these activities can improve fundamental skills,
the reality is that very few students practice on their own.
They spend time and money on these activities because
they are treated as training athletes!
Why Choose Love Badminton Club?
Beginners often face challenges like limited court access,
last-minute play, and exclusion.
Or they are constantly told to intercept shots at the net,
which doesn’t yield the desired exercise results or enjoyment.
This isn’t necessarily the coaches’ fault;
It’s a common phenomenon.
After all, beginners may not
understand the unwritten rules or safety concerns.
It’s not just about lacking skills;
This is a pressing issue for beginner-level students.
Especially in the first six months
before engaging with badminton,
bad habits formed during this time
may be hard to break for a lifetime.
Frequent injuries often stem from
not being able to hit the shuttlecock or generate power
Instructor Introduction
Love Badminton Club is staffed by students
from university badminton teams or department teams who may become professional coaches in the future.
We learn badminton not to participate in competitions.
To put it metaphorically:
if you want to eat braised pork rice,
you don’t need to find a five-star chef.
Starting from proper grip and serving techniques
to practicing doubles rotation,
we ensure the cultivation of correct habits
for healthy and injury-free play.
We also mentor students to
form their own clubs or teams at similar skill levels,
laying the foundation for future improvements in badminton.
Through healthy sports and social activities,
students can meet friends and like-minded individuals.

Seven Key Features.
Thoughtfully Arranged.
We primarily choose beginner-friendly venues, ensuring that external judgments do not create learning pressure.
To reduce learning costs for students, we will select off-peak hours at facilities with professional coaches whenever possible.
Please prepare for dynamic warm-ups before class and perform static cool-downs after class, so it doesn’t take away from the students' learning time.
Each session has clear teaching focuses and content, allowing students to record their current movements for comparison.
The six classes may involve multiple instructors, enabling students to learn from each coach’s strengths.
After the training, we will assist students in forming beginner-level clubs, which is most beneficial for improving their skills through practice with peers of similar levels.
Students can continue to learn privately with instructors that suit them best. One-on-two sessions are ideal, costing 600 TWD per hour for two people. Love Badminton Club restricts instructors from overcharging.
